Hallowe'en pumpkins

HEADLESS HORSEMAN
Debbie and I went to the "Annual Pumpkin Carve" at the Salem County Fairgrounds on Saturday. This is to benefit Meals On Wheels and it was a huge success. There were thousands of people in line to see the carved pumpkins which were set up in two good-sized barns. I took lots of pictures of the pumpkins and they are in the "Misc 2005" album if you want to see more of them. Some of them were really good with actual pictures of people carved onto them. I don't know how they do that but it is really impressive. This one is of the "Headless Horseman," I think. There were tractors pulling wagons loaded with hay bales giving hayrides to the kids (and adults). And, of course, there were goodies. Debbie and I had hot chocolate and cookies. It was too cool for the cider!

I had to ask... "Hallowe'en", that can't possibly be right... I asked Grandpa and he said that this is the way he spells it and it was spelled this way before. I was looking around online and apparently it is still spelled that way in Scotland... who knew?
