The family gathered at my house for a cook-out on Monday. Debbie, Glen, Laura, John, Jennifer and, of course, Samantha. We had BBQ chicken, Hamburgers, hot dogs (Glen's favorite), pasta salad, corn on the cob, baked beans and watermelon. We topped that off with a round of frozen Margaritas (iced tea in a stemmed glass for Samantha) on the porch and let our dinner settle. Then we all went for a ride on the boat. We crossed the Delaware River and went about three miles down the canal. We came back to the Salem River and anchored at the spoil island. We hung out there for awhile, John and Samantha made sand castles and we played around in the sand. Debbie and I got some pictures so I've included a few. (Samantha loves the boat, I took her out for a short ride last Wednesday when I was babysitting, just she and I, and she really enjoyed it.) Everyone had fun and we got back to the dock around 7:30. A really nice day.

You get extra points for being fastidious.
Damn you and your 'more than three syllable' words... I actually had to think about 'fastidious' for a few seconds, got annoyed and just looked it up. I figure I can't be the only one who can't remember what the hell it means or hasn't used this word since Vocab lesson #6 in 8th grade so I decided to post the definition (yes, I know definition has more than three syllables).
fas·tid·i·ous - adj.
Possessing or displaying careful, meticulous attention to detail.
Difficult to please; exacting.
Excessively scrupulous or sensitive, especially in matters of taste or propriety.
After reading this not only am I stupid for not knowing the word, but you are calling me "difficult to please" and "excessively scrupulous". Just for fun, I listed the synonyms that were there...
captious, choosy, critical, dainty, demanding, difficult, discriminating, easy disgusted, exacting, finical, finicky, fussbudgety, fussy, hypercritical, meticulous, nitpicky, old maid, overdelicate, overnice, particular, persnickety, picky, queasy, squeamish, stickling
I'm not feeling much love here...
Scrupulous and meticulous are good qualities (if a bit on the OCD side)when coupled with hygiene.
I know... I was just busting your chops... Thanks for the 'compliment'.
